It’s important to mention all because I’ve experienced firsthand the need and desire for space, function, and style — I get it! As someone who parents, works, cooks, and entertains, I understand the needs of busy family life and the desire for organization, storage, personalization, and a pretty space to contain it all. I work hard to design intentional and beautiful backdrops that are meant to stand up to real life.

How Zoe Became A Bay Area Interior Designer

Although her grandfather was an interior designer, known for his stories and eclectic style that never failed to wow clients, it took some time before she followed a similar path. She received degrees in finance and international business from the University of Colorado at Boulder, starting her career as a business and technology consultant for Accenture. With some time, she chose to advance her education, this time focusing on interior design at the Art Institute of Colorado and the University of California Berkeley Extension.

Zoe worked for both Williams-Sonoma and Pottery Barn, later combining her roots, business background, and design aesthetic to found Zoe Lee Design. Today, her favorite spaces combine modern and traditional elements that feel fresh, comfortable, and sophisticated. She’s always looking for a fresh way to incorporate innovative and practical touches that serve the needs of today’s busy lifestyle. She only hopes to honor her grandfather who has since passed, by finding ideas in the unexpected.
